Katherine Bonn

Katherine Bonn lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she spends her time raising two boys, three cats, and too many chickens. She was recently an active volunteer at her kids’ school where she managed the school garden, planned events and taught a creative writing elective. This year she plans to spend more time writing and learning how to balance it with participating in the world at large. You can read her musings on her website at katiebonn.com. Her essay “Why the Heck Not?” was published in Brain, Child Magazine many years ago and she thinks it’s time she puts herself out there again.

Kevin Carver

Kevin Carver is a writer, musician, and digital marketer from Oceano, CA. A graduate of the creative writing program at the University of Rochester, NY, Kevin’s work has appeared in multiple publications (585 Magazine, Spokane CDA Living Magazine, Behind the Setlist, The Inlander, CITY, Reflections Literary Journal, Trestle Creek), and he has produced two one-act plays. His debut fantasy novel is scheduled to be published in 2025 by Provender Press.

Michelle Dornish

Michelle Dornish is a special education teacher and fantasy & short fiction writer, previously published in The Best of SLO Night Writers (2009-2013) and Twisted Laughs Anthology (2024). Michelle lives in San Luis Obispo, California with her husband and son.

Joe Gremillion

Joe Gremillion is a writer, hiker, and photographer in Arroyo Grande, CA. His sci-fi novel series is inspired by themes of culture shock and coming of age in a time of upheaval. His penchant for organization and visual communication experience come in handy when planning events for Pen & Pier and the Weekend Hikers & Beyond.

Roscoe Mathieu

R. Jean Mathieu is the fiction writer of all trades. From award-winning stories of the Peace Corps and meditators on Mars (“Gods of War”) to time-traveling mysteries of a Mexican detective solving his own murder (No Time: The First Hour), Mathieu revels in different genres, different voices, and cultural chop suey. Under other noms de plume, he writes romances, thrillers, pulp adventures, Westerns, and mysteries.

Barbara Miller

Barbara is a wife and mother of two adorable children. A devout follower of Christ, her first published work was a Christian devotional entitled How To Love Your Preschooler. Her first fictional work, The Call of Gold, is a gold rush adventure inspired by a true story. Along with being a cub scout leader, she also volunteers her time at church teaching preschool Sunday School.

Ute Orgassa

Ute Orgassa was born and raised in Germany. She now lives with her family in the Bay Area. Her short stories have been published by Shortwave Media, Haunted Word Press, Alternative Milk, Punk Noir, Alien Buddha, and Infested. Her play A Different Track premiered at the 2023 Fringe in Barnstaple, UK and is currently produced by Awkward Pigeons Theater.

Siddhi Upadhyaya

Siddhi is a writer and engineer based in Southern California. When she’s not coding and technical writing for her day job, she publishes installments of her werewolf thriller on her blog and works on her political-fantasy novel.
